Drive Between San Diego and Santa Barbara
 
How long would the drive between SD and Santa Barbara be? Thanks.

Four to five hours.

Without traffic it would only take about 3 1/2 hours but there is always going to be traffic going through LA so 4 hrs or more is more realistic. What day of the week are you making the trip?

It was supposed to be on a Wednesday. But I think I might pass and spend a week in San Diego instead. Hopefully I can find some nice condo to rent on the beach for a few days.

You can always take Amtrak to Santa Barbara. I'm not sure how long the ride would be. I've taken Amtrak from Los Angeles to both locals and it's a very relaxing ride.
