Drinks in San Francisco
Along the same lines as my post about oysters, we are always looking for interesting spots for an evening or afternoon drink. Where do you go for a drink in San Francisco?
The Pied Piper in the Palace Hotel is beautiful and classy...perfect for an evening drink.
I forgot to mention some of the places we go now:
Big Four (Top of Nob Hill) - for a classy drink (just discovered it)
Liverpool Lil's - for an old San Francisco establishment
Rose Pistola - for a Czechvar!!
Tommy's - for the best margarita
Top of the Mark - for the best views
Well, I used to lieve in San Francisco and Suzanne isright the Pied Piper is great. Weee!
For a drink in San Francisco you can't go wrong with one of the public fountains in SF, such as the Mermaid Fountain in Ghirardelli Square. It has the best water, and a hint of human waste always adds to the flavor.
And if you lean over far enough into the fountain, you'll get a wiff of what San Jose smells like most of the time.
Try the Starlight Room, at the top of the Sir Francis Drake Hotel.
Noxxx,

You really should get out of San Francisco a little more and see what some real cities are like.
I'll put my passport up against yours any time, ms xxx.
I AGREE!! and Sharon, try having a drink in the beautiful bar at Farallon.
All of this and school isn't out for summer vaction yet.
I like the bar at the Westin Saint Francis in the afternoon - great chilled vodka.
I'm shocked and dismayed. How can you leave the Tonga Room off this list! It is the highlight of my business trips to SF and the only reason that I'd chose the Fairmont over the Mandarin or the W!

Go for the "Happy Hour Buffet."
