Drinks in New York City??!
Traveling to NYC next month from the midwest. What new hot drinks are being served up these days?! While we're NOT all country bumpkins out here, it would be fun to have a heads up to know what to try! Thanks in advance!

The only really popular hot drinks are coffee and tea. Sometimes in the winter though you can also get hot chocolate.
|
But make sure you watch out for that McDonald's coffee. It can be too hot.
|
Try a cooooool Mojito -- yum if you like rum, mint, and getting bombed on 1 drink.
|
No, Marilyn: Sarah specifically asked about a hot drink. It will be cooler in Oct.
Hot cider
Starbucks coffee??
|
To x0x: No problemo. Sarah can simply take a Mojito and put it in the microwave.

Caipirinhas, like a mojito but with no mint, are very tasty. "Hot" bars tend to have a bar menu that will include their specialties. Sour apple martinis seem to have replaced cosmos, but they tend to be more uneven. I've had some good ones, and some awful ones.

Flavored "martinis" are still very big with us girls. I had a bunch of great strawberry martinis at Bar89,and also some special the bartender made. Sunrise something I think. I don't really feel like there is an "it" drink right now.

New York magazine did an article earlier this summer on "hot" drinks, check their website www.newyorkmetro.com.
