Is there still cocktails served at the Metropolitan Museum Sat nights? I don't see anything listed on their website.

My mother in law and two sister in laws will be in the city from long island for the weekend and i was thinking of drinks at the Met - my husband and I went two years ago and loved it.

Any other recommendations in the area?

yes, the Petrie Court cafe & wine Bar is open until 10:30 on Fri & Sat.

The Balcony Bar is open until 8:30 on Fri. & Sat.

what is the entrance fee for the museum if you are only going in for a drink..

The Met has a SUGGESTED donation of $20. That means it is up to you how you want to support the institution.

If you are really just going for drinks, I'd pay a very nominal amount, like $1. I see no problem with that.
