I do favor skirts and cute high heeled shoes and v neck tops, so I am thinking that would be hard for my husband to do.

years ago I had a yorkie, the grey and camel colred sweet little dog. I happened to have a coat that year from Bomwit teller's that was grey with camel color and cuffs. Bought before my husband bought the dog for me as a birthday present. Everyone thought I bought the coat to go with my dog.
People do think strangely at times.
No way could I compete with my pooch's beauty.

I know this is sort of off the original post, but cigalchanta, you reminded me of the time my step-mom won a contest.

It was at the pet fair, and she and her dog, Szabo entered th look -a- like contest. The crowd was the judge. She won hands down. Szabo is a chinese hairless crested. Not exactly a contest I would want to win.

I still have hair... :-D

Step mom does have hair too! I am thinking I best clarify for people that may not know what cresteds look like. Well, if people are that interested they could google it like anything and everything else.

Chinese crested (hairless) have just skin, no hair, except on the tips of their feet, tip of the tail, and the crest/ears on head.

Even though she isn't hairless, congratulations? was definitely appropriate. She won a portrait for her and the dog by a professional photographer.

As a married male Midwesterner AND a Packer fan I will grant you only this:

It is acceptable to wear coordinated Packer attire ONLY in and around Lambeau field on game day. To wear exactly the same top is going to far.

This rule goes out the window during December games and your choice of overcoats come in one shade of hunter orange.

From a male point of view, you could not come up with a big enough bribe for me to wear anything that exactly matched my wife. Oh, wait...I could do it at a Halloween party.

What if the man is bald? The outfits would come off different if his wife has long flowing hair. Should she shave her head to match him or should he wear a wig? I am confused.

at a dinner party last summer, a coouple came in matched- he with a shirt made from the same material as his wife's dress. Very hard not to stare, or say something- they looked like tweedledum and tweedledee_ or maybe that's what they had in mind!

I don't remember how old I was exactly, elementary school age, my mom made us summer dresses from the same fabric. I hated it!! Now I wouldn't mind if it could bring her back!

..hhmmm, matching pairs...well, my boyfriend did find this funny t-shirt that says "I'm fishing with stupid" with a big arrow, and I do wear it when we go fishing...when boats go by I always make sure I am standing on the correct side....

Several years ago I met this lady who made curtains, a tablecloth, chair pads, AND a dress for her daughter...all our of the same blue sunflower material. Too wierd!!!

I once stayed at a B&B owned by two men who spent the winters making accessories for the B&B - we all had bathrobes that matched the curtains in our room- it was a lovely sight-

Actually dressing exactly alike has worked wonders for the San Francisco twins - Vivan & Marion - they are a staple brush with fame in these parts.

And dressing alike isn't only a problem for heterosexual couples. If I had a dime for every time my partner and I accidently became color coordinated... Now I check in before we go out to make sure we're different.

I used to be horrified when I would visit my MIL and find dozens of matching outfits in the closet for my twin nephews. I mean a couple of matching outfits for twins is okay, but everything matching? Thank goodness they have grown up to be healthy adolescents with their own individual tastes :)

Faina--LOL! No, actually, this lady I don't think would even have a clue as to what "The Sound of Music" is. Sounds cruel...but every person that met her had stories to tell for years.

My DH calls them "steady shirts" if we happen to grab similar tops. One of us eventually cries "uncle" and changes.

My MIL gave both her kids and their spouses matching kelley green fleece jackets for Xmas last year, LOL! I exchanged both of ours, saying that I wanted a color that would be easier to clean (which I did) and that DH needed a rain jacket (also true.) But in reality, I wouldn't have been caught dead wearing that color anywhere...
