Dress Code - Grand Hotel - Mackinac Island
 

We are going to be staying at the Grand Hotel in June. The hotel dress code says jacket and tie for men. Dress or pantsuit for women. Who has been and can tell me what women are wearing. Are they in Sunday Dress or long evening gowns? I've heard both. I have also heard dressy capris. I am not sure what to do. What does the average lady wear for dinner? I am thinking I might wear a pair of black dress slacks and a fancy top. Thanks for any help.

Most are in what you call Sunday dress, with a few dressed more elaborately. The ratio swings more dressy when some groups are present or rare special weekends like the Somewhere in Time weekend in late October when some people dress in gowns and tuxes from that era.
