Radio City Apartments-NY City

we are considering this apartment for Xmas time. Any comments or advice about something else in the area and for a similar price-$450 for 2 bedrooms-5 people.

Do they have vacancies Ita, they are normally booked out months in advance. We stayed there a few years ago, and liked it, it was close to Time Square, subways, and walking distance to a lot of places like Central Park, Rockerfeller Center etc. It is not luxurious by any means, but clean and comfortable and our room had kitchen facilities.

This is not an apartment. this is really a hotel (renting apartments in NYC for less than 30 days is illegal). RCS has a great location, but is quite basic - accounting for the very low rates. There are many other suite hotels in the city - but I don;t know any others in this price range. Also - if you want this reserve NOW - if they still have space - usually book up many months in advance due to the very low rates.

You might look at the Affinia group, which are moderately priced, all suite hotels. Esp the Eastgate Towers usually has very good rates - but I don;t think you will get 2 bedrooms for that low a rate. You might get a one bedroom - with 2 doubles in the BR and a sofa bed in the LR.

they have availability but they won't guarantee non smoking. A smoking room is not acceptable for us.

In that case you better start searching now to try to find a deal on a suite at that time of year for your limited budget.
