I want a small, expensive house with great details and built-ins -- that is why I like her plans. The living rooms are small enough that you can actually find furniture that isn't dwarfed by the too high ceilings and expansive wall space.

I also like that her plans have a lot of extra storage space, closets and cupboards.

We've been raising our 2 kids in a samll house - just 1200 sq ft - 1.5 baths. it hasn't been easy. We'll be adding an additional 400 sq ft this summer - just enough for a small family room, expanded kitchen and the half bath will become a full bath. And it won't be inexpensive. The 400 sq ft will cost almost as much as the original house. And travel will have to be put on hold for a while.
