Downtown Restaurants
 

Does anyone have recommendations for downtown Mpls restaurants? We'll be staying at the Residence Inn and are looking for something nearby for both a sandwich/beer, and a nice breakfast/brunch. Also, any feedback regarding The Local (upscale Irish restaurant on Nicollet Mall) would be appreciated. <BR> <BR>Thanks!

One of my very favorite restaurants downtown Mpls. is the Oak Grill in Daytons. It is a classy place and has yummy food. There are several other places that we enjoy - including Murray's. Haven't been to the "Local" so can't give you an info on that. Will check with friends who have been there and get back to you. Have fun!!

Talked to my sister who lives in Mpls. ( I now live in Ca.) and she says they love the "Local". Food is excellent and service is likewise. She also highly recommends Palamino and Rock Bottom Brewery. She says you can't go wrong. Have a great time.
