Downtown Detroit?

I need some ideas for an upcoming business trip. First, any good car service to recommend?

Second, I will be at Henry Ford Hospital. Is there generally cabs at the entrance?
Thank you!

What type of things do you like to do?

It might be better for you to just rent a car. Driving in the area is easy and cabs are few and far between. I don't know about the hospital. I'm assuming they would have to be called for.

The big attraction in the area is the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village.

Greenfield Village doesn't opens April 15. If the weather is nice, that is a great place to walk around and see America's history.

Detroit is not known for its public transportation, even cabs. They do not sit at Henry Ford Hospital. Your best bet is to rent a car, especially if you will be in town for more than one day. If you opt out of renting, some options would be: Metro Cars, Trinity Transportation (Ken's Shuttle service is part of this group), or Airport Car Service, among others. A google search for 'detroit metro airport shuttle service' will give you a whole list. You could make arrangements for your transportation in advance or take along cab company numbers for when you finish at HFH.

Did HFH arrange for your lodging or are you on your own?

With all due respect to the above poster, I remember a cab stand at either the main hospital entrance or clinic entrance of HFH when I used to go there. I also recall a dedicated phone at one of the entrances if there were no cabs waiting. To be sure, you can contact guest services at (800)888-4340.

If you have any interest at all, Comerica Park and a ballgame and Greektown with many restaurants and casino etc. are not far and would be easy access to each other too.

CityLights is correct, there is a cab stand at HFH.

If you don't mind me asking, what hotel are you staying at. That may help with getting more info on transportation.

If you get the chance the DIA has been voted one of the best museums in North America.
