downtown DC to Baltimore Renaissance Harbor Hotel

What is the easiest way using public transportation? I wont have a rental car and do not want to pay a taxi to drive me the duration. I'm good with xfers and whatnot...mainly just don't want to walk too far at an endpoint with all my luggage in the August heat!

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

I should mention that the hotel's website and operator weren't very illuminating...

Kit- You could take the MARC train from Union Station in DC to Penn Station in Balto, but that would still entail a bit of a walk from the station to the Inner Harbor. You could take a taxi from the station to the hotel.

Check this website which allows you to put in the two addresses and will give you the bus line from Penn Station to a stop near the hotel. http://www.mtamaryland.com/

I'm just brainstorming, but wonder if you can take MARC to BWI Station (at the airport) then take Light Rail to the Inner Harbor? I'm not sure; Maybe someone else can weigh in on this-

Good luck!

There is no light-rail station near the BWI MARC/Amtrak station. You have to go to the airport.

Easist way is to take MARC to Camden Yards. The hotel is nearby. If it's on a weekend, then you take Amtrak to Baltimore Penn Station and take light-rail to Camden Yards

You can use the Trip Planner at the DC Metro's site (www.wmata.com) to get a rough idea; put in "baltimore" as your destination and it will give you the list of possibilities. For instance, you can take the Metro's orange line to New Carrollton and then get a MARC train to Baltimore Penn Station. Most or all of the MARC trains run only on weekdays.

Taking the MARC from DC Union Station seems very easy! Is the Camden line closer to the Harbor or the Penn Station line? Seems like I could do either. I will be going on Monday so MARC should be operational...

You want to take the MARC Camden line to Camden Yards Station. It's about three blocks from your hotel. Very easy.
