Downtown Cleveland - help with Tower City transit

My DH and I are flying into Cleveland for a 24-hour whirlwind sightseeing trip. SInce we will not have a car we want to stay downtown as close and convenient to the spot where the red, blue and green line come together (tower city or tower terminal?).

Accoridng to the maps, the RITZ and the Marriot RENAISSANCE are both very close to that spot but I was wondering if in reality, one hotel is more advantageously situated than the other.

thank you so much for your insight.

Both hotels are part of Tower City Center. It's just a matter of whether you turn left or right when you come upstairs from the Rapid station.

I've stayed at the Renaissance, but never the Ritz so can't offer a comparison of the properties.

What do you plan to do while in Cleveland?

cd- since you asked about our plans....

We are arriving around 11:20am at the airport on a Saturday

get lunch at the Market
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
(Look up in the air to see a glimpse of airshow)
"happy hour" at one of the Breweries
Check into Hotel
HAve dinner somewhere
Then do the Dance Cruise or Comedy Club

Sunday Morning we will have time for an early breakfast, a little walking tour of the warehouse district, and check out the Christmas Story House before our 11:30am flight back home.

Citylights- thank you for your insight into the hotels, we will undoubtedly go for the cheaper of the two...
