Doubletree guest suites 47th&7th
 

can anybody recommend or comment about these suites and their prices.We are coming from Sydney Ausralia in mid july and were recommended to stay there.Maybe their Email address please?

Hey Isaac, the Doubletree suites are right smack in the heart of times square. If you want a hotel in the middle of it all this is the place. It was formerly an Embassy suites and each room is really two rooms-a bedroom and a living room. I usually recommend this hotel to my friends since it is usually a great value for what you get. It is clean and service is fine, the only problem can at times be the noise as it is in the one block of the one city that truly never sleeps.

Maybe it's because I live here, but I can't see the attraction of staying in the Times Square area. It's more congested, noisy, dirty,edgy, and unattractive then most parts of Manhattan,and there are hotels that aren't necessarily more expensive that are in more attractive areas. Times Square is certainly in the heart of town, but in London I wouldn't want to stay in Picadilly Circus either. <BR>Try this hotel: Dumont Plaza Suite Hotel, 150 East 34 Street. All suites have kitchenettes. A little far east to be considered central but it is only two blocks to a subway stop, and there are buses that run east-west on 34th Street and north-south on Lexington and Third Avenues. email is www.mesuite.com/ <BR>

We are heading to NYC and staying at Doubletree Guest Suites for the second time. We like the hustle and bustle of the theater area and the large rooms. Three of us go, so we have three sinks, three separate beds and our room, up very high, was dead quiet. We do not like the restaurant and go to all the better places to eat, ex. Windows on the World, Waldorf Astoria, Plaza, Sardi's, Dash of Salt, a little place right in theater district called Playwright's and many, many others. We also try to walk or take a taxi and even took the city bus for two and half hours and really got to see alot of different neighborhoods. I would recommend this hotel, the concierge was alot of help.

Isaac,the toll free number is 1-800-222-tree. We stayed at that hotel for a week last fall-its a great place to stay-they were renovating at that time-we stayed on the renovated floor-really nice. I would ask for a renovated room & ask to be placed to a top floor. The noise can be a little annoying sometimes. The suite where we stayed had windows that actually opened-so if you dont feel the need to listen to rush hour-just shut the window. E-mail if have any further questions. As far as pricing we found it cheaper to pruchase air & hotel together-the hotel came to about $2000.00 including taxes-which in New York are quite high. Have a great time. Great location.
