Coal dust and vaseline...now there's a lovely concoction! You had to really want darker lashes! Thanks Bonny...amazing what we can learn on Fodors, yes?
|
LoveItaly, your mom wouldn't have liked my mom: she used to use spit to hold back my brothers' hair from falling on their foreheads. So did the nuns at our school (when they ran out of Dippity Do!).

OO, did you see my reply, BTW, on my Indian Shores thread where I told you I did your St. Pete housepeeping tour? WOW!!! I'll take one of those. We also stopped by a neighborhood on the way to Ft. De Soto. OMG!!! What places ... :-) Maybe when I win the Powerball!

LOL joan, I remember women doing that and also using spit on a hankerchef or tissue to clean their kids faces! I will have to ask my daughter if the nuns in her school every did that. Thanks for the good chuckle!

Lovey, that just happened to me...at a fundraiser...by a "sweet" man...after a gratis chiropractic adjustment. He was there to demo one of his contributions to the auctions. I had a great free adjustment - but ended up with mascara gone awry. He tried to tell me where it was, and then spit on a napkin and took care of it himself! :-) I felt so "mothered". We just laughed and laughed about it!

Oh starrsy, another fun story!! And yes dear Tiff, women worldwide are rejoycing I am sure. I felt so bad for dear SeaUrchin packing the night before her flight to Paris. Talking about one stressed woman!

I heard somewhere that mascara contains bat guano. :[ IMO, this makes it a solid and not a liquid.
I try not to think about this when I'm putting it on in the morning. :-O |
