I once saw a guy whose luggage was lost and he was upset because he had packed his car keys! His stupidity actually left me speechless.

It's a great show. Now that they've got it on at an earlier time, I can watch it more conveniently. I agree with the comment about signing releases, though - and I watch "Cops" too and have thought the same thing.

Keith, we used to start a thread about "Airline" right after the show ended. They usually got quite long.

Last night's "Airline" featured a man who checked in two set of keys. One set was found (it had fallen in another passenger's bag) but the keys to his house/car were still missing. Last night's show also featured a woman who wanted to check in a cooler full of fresh chicken and ice (refused). Simply amazing.

I believe there are large segments of people who think of flying the same as riding in a car/bus. To them, the baggage hold is the same as a truck and if they need anything, the flight attendant can simply go in the "truck" to retrive it. The people on "Airline" seem honestly baffled that they simply can't check in something like coolers full of fresh chicken and ice.

I still wonder what happened to the 30-40 people who were supposed to be on my Chicago-Hawaii flight this summer. AA certainly was expecting them and had no idea why didn't show up. But when I told my sister this story, she guessed that the missing passengers probably had signed up with an amateur tour group and most likely were sitting on a chartered bus in parking lot somewhere waiting for everyone to arrive. I've always felt that wherever these people were, their story probably was worthy of an "Airline" type episode.

Last night on Airline I was amazed that some people are so stupid to think they can buy a dog at their destination and just show up at the airport with the dog for their return flight and not expect a problem. The dog had no rabies vacination records, etc., nothing. She said she would never fly Southwest again! United had also turned her down.

You have to love when those L folks say "I'll never fly SouthWest again"!! -- I always picture the reps saying "Thank goodness for that" under their breath. ;)

Not only do I pack my meds in my carryon, I also pack an extra week's worth. Heaven forbid there's another 9/11, but I remember a Nova program on PBS about all the inbound flights that were grounded or diverted to Canada then. A major problem for many pax was running out of necessary meds... (Now veering OT) Although, come to think of it, if I DID get my Rx in Canada, I might save some $$... :)

Jor - Remember how that same woman asked Southwest to sneak the dog on?!?!?! I had the feeling the woman was hoping Southwest would find the dog so darned cute they would go along with that crazy suggestion.

Keith, I said "most people" (and then I added : "even if they have never seen it") It is a show that is mentioned quite a bit on here ...

but that is a moot point. Rusty's comment to me was sarcastic. Claiming that I was ignorant for reacting to a fictional show ... if he has never heard of it, than he shouldn't be so quick to comment. It is in fact a reality show.

SB, I did say I'd never fly SouthWest again in 1999 and I haven't.

My issue was not poor service or anything screwy.

My reason for never flying SouthWest again is the mass boarding. At the time being a business traveler flying was already a huge hassle I hated and the mass boarding made it even worse.

I haven't watched Airline in a few weeks...finally watched it today and saw another person who checked their medication (is this a coincidence or serious trend?)

Perhaps people who need their meds get more airtime because they're more likely to act up!
