Don't Be Late For Your Travel Destination...Spring Ahead!

Just a reminder to turn your clock ahead one hour -- otherwise, you'll be late to where you are traveling tomorrow :D

Well then,seetheworld
I can turn the wall clock and the microwave clock and the alarm clock ahead,
yet
I can pretty much guarantee
that MY personal clock will make the
change around Friday or so...
:D

Scarlett

How was Paris, did you have a good birthday?

Trip report?

Fodorite018 Apr 2nd, 2005 05:36 PM

Thanks for the reminder! We went snowshoeing all day and we are beat, so I am sure we won't even notice the time change, lol! We will be dead to the world shortly.

Paris was lovely, there is a trip report already posted, The Further Adventures of Scarlett in Paris if you want to look it up :)
My birthday was perfect, thanks for asking ((F))

Well, I have to leave tomorrow at 7 am for a flight back home...I usually use my cell phone as an alarm clock.

In NYC the clock picked up a signal and changed time automatically. In Portland, it didn't at first, but later changed. I'm not sure if I can trust it!!

Will someone call me at 6 am??? :-d

I think we should (have) set our clocks BACK 23 hours instead of forward 1.

But I guess weekend workers wouldn't like to too much.

I'd attribute the extra 23 hours as "interest" earned by my daylignt "savings". ;)

Thanks seetheworld. You saved me a hassle on Sunday morning. I was on vacation in Florida and flew home from Tampa on Sunday morning.

I live in Indiana where we never change our clocks so I kind of forgot about the whole thing. I saw your reminder Saturday night but just read the title of the post as I was getting ready for bed. Still didn't register. Sat bolt upright at 7am when it finally clicked. We definitely would have been late for our flights otherwise.

When checking out of the hotel I heard the receptionist's side of a phone conversation with another guest. The guest was obviously requesting a 9:15am airport shuttle to which the receptionsist replied, "Ma'am it is already 9:20am. We changed times last night." Can you imagine the panic that went on in that room then? I imagine clothes being flung into suitcases and children being shoved out the door in pjs.
