Dollywood, etc. photos (and soon Disney)
I don't even know if anyone is interested - I usually post in the Europe forum, but we went to Dollywood/Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg this weekend and have some photos (not as many as Europe, and not as many as I'll have from Disney for my upcoming weekend).
But if anyone is interested, www.neesie.org
I should have the Disney ones up in about a week, I live in the Orlando area but will be down for the weekend taking some photos and meeting up with friends.

Thanks for posting the photos - enjoyed looking at them. I have never spent any time in that area of Tennessee but the countryside looks peaceful and pretty. Liked the holiday lights and waterwheel. Also looked at your Europe gallery -- looks like you had a nice trip. Very good Stonehenge, gardens, cemetery and France pictures. Again, thanks for sharing.

Thanks everyone! It was a nice time, I wish we took more photos.
I've been to the area before, a number of years ago when I don't even think Dollywood was open for December at all. (oh, and Europe was awesome - we had such a good time everywhere!)
We didn't make it to Cades Cove - we ended up going up the mountain instead of down. I figured if I was going to be in the mountains, that up was the way I wanted (I live in Florida, and don't get to see the mountains much anymore).

Hi neesie, great pics. Don't you just love the Smokies? What do you mean you can sit up front on the train? We have ridden that train about a gazillion million times. One time we were in the front pew and I didn't like all the soot and junk all over me!

Hi GMoney!
I actually live in Lake Mary - and it's quite a driving trip (I didn't remember that it took so long, and I used to live even farther - in the St. Pete area!) The Smokies are wonderful, I wish we'd had a little more time - but you can't ever do it all!
As far as the front of the train - you can sit up where the coal is being put into the...opening, I don't know what it is called. I actually gasped a bit the first time I saw it! The conductor person is also up there My pants got very sooty and in my hair and such also - so don't dress up if you want to do it (you have to ask, and it's good to get there early in the day and reserve a spot). There is a bench for 3 up front, that is it. And it's a big step up, so it'd be hard for anyone that is infirm in any way to get up there.
