Dogs--Hocking Hills

Are dogs (on leash of course) allowed on all the trails in Hocking Hills?

Hocking Hills Ohio?

All state park campgrounds allow pets, and many have designated areas for pets.
A maximum of two pets is permitted per campsite. Pets must be on a leash not exceeding 6 feet in length and must be under control at all times. Proof of rabies shots and a physical description of the animals is required upon request.

With the exception of guide dogs, pets are not allowed in state park cottages or lodges.

Yes, Ohio. Thanks. Some of the cabins (privately owned) say that pets are welcome.(We don't camp) We've never taken our dog before, so I couldn't remember if we saw any on the trails. Probably be a spur of the moment (maybe not even overnight) trip. Thanks again for the information.

Look at this website. It has a lot of the dog friendly sites in the area:

Also, make sure that you are going to a state park and not a nature preserve. Conkle's Hollow is one of my favorite places to visit in the Hocking Hills. It is a nature preserve, so my dog can't visit it with me.

Thanks for that web site--I've bookmarked it for future use.
