Dog Friendly places to live in Southern California ?

I'd appreciate any suggestions for nice places to live in Southern California (I think I prefer Orange County) that are not too far from the beaches, must have some dog friendly out door cafes, and single family homes around 2400 sq. ft. under 1 Million $.

I know of Huntington Beach, are there other similar towns you'd recommend ?

Thank you.

San Diego came #1 as the best place to live with a dog.
Lots of million dollars homes for close to half of that..Now

Patsy - Southern California is VERY dog friendly... I have lived in San Diego (my personal favorite) and now orange County for the last 12 years. You will enjoy it and yes, good time to buy!

San Diego might be a bit too far away...but may reconsider it. Thanks.

If it is too far away - consider southern Orange County. Very nice here....

Love Fullerton and it's very dog friendly with outdoor dog friendly cafes and a dog park but it's farther inland than we'd like to live. We're exploring lots of possibilities. Thanks again.

I was thinking more Laguna Hills, Mission Viejo, Aliso Viejo and the like...

Del Mar is very dog friendly. There's even a beach where they can explore without a leash.
