Dog Beach in San Diego?
 

Can anyone please tell me where Dog Beach is located in San Diego?<BR>I'm driving from L.A. to San Diego. Directions please, anyone?<BR>Thank you

Del Mar Dog Beach <BR>LOCATION:<BR>North side of the San Dieguito River mouth, off Camino Del Mar opposite the race track <BR><BR>There's also one down in Ocean Beach, which is down below San Diego.

Dog Beach is in Ocean Beach. To get there, take the 8 west until it ends. Go left off the freeway (in the right lane), following the signs that say Sunset Cliffs Blvd. Take a right at the first light (W. Point Loma Blvd) and follow it until you see the beach. That is Dog Beach.

I've been there but it was awhile ago so I'm going by memory....it is south of Sea World in a community called Ocean Beach. <BR>Take the 5 freeway South to Sea World Drive, then get on to West Point Loma Blvd (runs through Ocean Beach or as locals call it O.B.)It is in this general area and if you get this far, I'm sure any of the locals can help you out. They do allow dogs, that I know for sure. Good Luck

Sorry, didn't read the coming from LA part. 5 S to SWD is better than the 8W from that direction. However, Sea World Drive turns into Sunset Cliffs blvd before you get to W. Point Loma, at which pointnyou'd just turn right still.

There's a dog beach on Coronado, very close to the fence separating Naval Air Station Coronado.
