Does the Grand Wailea have day passes?
I know you can get a day pass at the Hyatt in Kauai. Does the Grand Wailea also provide this service? We are staying next door at the 4S and I have a feeling my kids might be jealous of their pool. Is this an option?

Last I read the day passes were $150 per person per day.
|
When I was there a couple of years ago, the passes were $60 per day.

How do you get a pass or two? Can you only get a pass if the hotel is not booked solid?

I ran across this message in the archives:
Date: 07/13/2003, 11:58 pm I spoke with the hotel concierge and asked for the current policy for pool use. It's now $280 for a half day. This is for up to 4 people and includes use of a basic guest room for a half day. |
Thanks for finding that information for me! I am assuming that a room has to be available then since it includes the use of a room, even though I wouldn't need one. How does this pool area compare to the Hyatt Kauai? I realize the Hyatt is not as elaborate but certainly it has to rate right up there in the fun category, right?

I read a good idea about a week ago. I might try this next time. We would stay in condo at Kaanapali for the 6 nights. (Less expensive then hotel.) Stay at Grand Wailea our last night - check in early if you can and have evening flight out the next day. This way we would have 2 days for great hotel/pool for our two boys. I think this would be a great way to end a great vacation and something a little different right before the depression sets in before going home!!!
