Does Denver Embassy Suites still exist?

I've read the Embassy Suites near Coors Field is a good place to stay, yet it seems to no longer exist!? Is it a different hotel now? I'm looking for a place for a family to stay for a few days this summer in Denver, ideally near Coors Field. Thanks!

1881 Curtis Street will be home to the new Ritz Carlton, opening later this year.

It's too bad we've lost the Embassy Suites downtown, as it was a very good family choice. I know there's one on Airport Blvd., but it's too far if you want to stay downtown. Here's a link to NexTag list of family-type Denver hotels, many in downtown or close to it.

Have you ever considered renting a condo downtown? There are often some pretty cool places on http://denver.craigslist.org/vac/

there may be some on VRBO.com as well
