Does Anyone Still Use Paper Tickets?

Does anyone still use paper tickets? If so, why?

i've used us airways, continental, southwest, jet blue and northwest/klm recently and none of them had paper checks.

I recently received paper tickets for an Air India flight from Bangkok to Delhi. I don't know if Air India even issues e-tickets.

I have paper tickets for a flight in May On UAL and Lufthansa.

They were "purchased" with USAir FF miles...I only hope that they will be honored.

I'm not sure why but on a previous flight through Detroit, my connecting flight was cancelled due to ((R))weather, and as later ((s))connecting flights became available into the next ((#))day, passengers holding paper tickets were honored before those holding etickets (like myself)((?))

I got paper tickets for a domestic United flight in July. Two tickets were ordered over the phone, both with coupons, one became an e-ticket, the other a paper ticket! Very weird!!!

I almost booked flights to Hawaii in Feb. through America West and it said that the connection to Hawaii (on Hawaiian air) would be paper tickets. I thought that was odd. I ended up finding a better price elsewhere.

Some airlines have already started charging extra if you want a paper ticket. More nickle and diming. Oops! I meant ten dollaring and twenty dollaring.

Yes, I will be using paper tickets for a IAH-EWR-HKG-NRT-IAH itinerary this Christmas, bought through Orbitz. 3 legs are on CO and one on CX.

I, too, cashed in USAirways miles for a Lufthansa ticket (to Munich) this winter. I got a paper ticket. First one I've had in years.

E-ticketing is just beginning to get started here in the West Indies. I am always issued a paper ticket for both American Airlines and Air France if I purchase my airfare locally. I am e-ticketed only if I purchase online.

I was issued paper tickets for a code share United/Aer Lingus flight recently. Carrying the tickets, worrying about losing them, etc. reminded me how cool e-ticets really are.

That was why I was wondering if anyone still used paper tickets.

You have to keep up with them because if they are lost, you must repurchase them.

Delta still issues partner airline awards as paper tickets.
