Does anyone rent FULL size SUV's or 15-passenger vans ONE WAY?

Six of us are flying into Washinton D.C. this fall and will travel Skyline Drive, Blue Ridge Parkway and will end up in the Great Smokey Mountains. I'm having trouble finding a rental car company that will rent a FULL SIZE SUV (Suburban, etc.) or a 15-passenger van one-way. We'd like to pick it up at Washington Reagan airport and return it to the Atlanta airport. We could be slightly flexible in pick-up and drop-off locations to make this work. A mini van is to small for 6 people and 2 weeks worth of luggage.

We just rented a full size from Avis at LAX. Expensive, but they have them. Check the websites or call the 800#'s they'll be able to help you better.

You might check to see if any of rental companies have the Chevy Astro or GMC Safari minivans. Those have significantly more space than typical minivans. The extended version works pretty well for 6 adults and luggage.

I have reserved a twelve passenger van from Budget for a trip in CA. Unfortunately, they said that particular van had to be returned to the same airport. I don't know if that's the case everywhere. Good Luck!

We are renting a big van (15 passenger)in Sept from Enterprise in NO. It will be returned to the same airport but you could check with them up your way.

Good luck!

Would suggest a big minivan and possibly add a turtletop yourself. A big minivan is possible, unless you travel with golf bags! Thrify rents vans but website did not provide for one-way from airport to airport locations. You might call.
