We love the Mill Street Inn (Newport, RI). We usually try to reserve Room 212 which has a great view of the harbor and a little outdoor deck. Did you reserve a duplex? Make sure to have lunch at the Moorings. They have great big plates of chilled lobster claws to munch on.

Thanks, Michelle. We booked a deluxe suite (not the townhouse)- don't think it has the deck. Is it centrally located, clean & bright feeling? Would 2 teenage girls like it? Is it "too contemporary" - compared to the B&B type accommodations? Thanks for your input!

We have stayed there 3 times because my husband says it is such a god deal. To me it is one big DUMP. The rooms with brick wall and hardly any windows/light are like a jail. The whole place smells like a musty basement and they dont even bother to put a bedspread on the bed. I scheved the whole place and put my foot down and I am refusing to stay again. The parking lot is a nightmare and there is never enogh spots on the weekends forcing you park down on the harbor and risk leaving your car overnight. I say torch the dump!
