Does anyone know anything aobut the Prince Conti Hotel ?

It is in New Orleans on the french quarter.... I am heading down there in september for a wekend... We already have plane tickets but no hotel reservations... I just got an email from orbitz saying that this hotel is $65 a night... That seems like a good deal to me, but i would like to know more about the hotel. If anyone knows anything, please let me know.. thanks!

We didn't stay there but we did visit the bar The Bombay Club twice during our stay in Feb 2002. The bar is very nice. The hotel looked fine from what we could tell but all we really saw was the very small lobby area.

I don't have any experience with it myself, but I remember seeing it discussed on this board before. So try a text search on this site for Prince Conti and hopefully some of the discussions will come up.

Wow. $65 almost sounds too cheap, doesn't it? Is your room refundable? If so, I'd book it!

I'm suppose to stay at the Prince Conti this weekend, if the trip doesn't fall through. We are considering the Prince Conti for a block of rooms for a wedding in the Spring, so we're going to stay there for the weekend. If we pull off the trip, I'll let you know when I return.

I stayed there a few years ago with a friend. The bathroom was very small, but clean. I don't need lots of counter space, but it would drive some people crazy. Our room was furnished in pretty basic hotel furnishings, since we needed two beds. Some friends had rooms with only one bed though and they were furnished with very nice antiques.

I personally didn't care for the Bombay Club. Too cold and dark for me. I about froze. And it was smoky.

The location is great, only half a block from Bourbon, but no noise.

$65 dollars is a great price. How concerned are you about quality? If the location is what you want, then take it! but i have heard good things about that hotel.
