Does anybody know a good reference for an online digital photo developer???

I used www.ofoto.com for an order but it wasn't until after I had already ordered that I realized that my 16x20 and 20x30 shots were "matted" and not "glossy." I thought that those prices were too good to be true.

I am really looking for an online photo developer that can help me with glossy 16x20's and glossy 20x30's.

I currently pay a local photo shop about $40 for glossy 16x20's and $60 for glossy 20x30's.

In case anybody is interested in viewing my African safari pictures, they may be viewed at www.ofoto.com by going to the following link:

http://www.ofoto.com/I.jsp?m=4604239...mp;n=456003369

You may have to become a free member to view, but not sure.

Thanks.

Check out Dotphoto.com and Shutterfly.com. Dotphoto seems to have the best prices and you get a bunch of freebies when you register.

I always prefer a matte finish - is there a reason you like glossy better?

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Itleyen,

The site is working for many but not for others. Just to be sure you have the right info:

Again the link that should allow access to my pics on this site is as follows:

http://www.ofoto.com/I.jsp?m=4604239...mp;n=456003369

Excellent photos Roccco ,what camera did you use??????

Roccco Jul 14th, 2003 02:42 PM

welshwoman,

I used a Sony DSC-F707 Cybershot Digital Camera. It is very easy to use and features 5.0 Million Megapixels and a 5x optical zoom lens.

This has really been my first and only camera, and I have only praise for this camera. Very user friendly and very high quality photos for a digital camera. Price is about $899-$999 and now they have a successor, the Sony DSC-F717 Cybershot, although I don't know what improvements have been made. The price quoted would be for the F717 (and about the same that I paid).

The battery life on the camera is great, about three hours, and the memory sticks are very easy to use.

Oooh oooh...you mean 5 megapixels Rocco, not 5 million. A megapixel is a million pixels.

You can get that camera online through B&H Photo for $699.95. I used them to buy our Olympus digital 1.5 yrs half ago at Xmas. Ordered it about 2 wks before Xmas and it was on our doorstep in two or 3 days! I HIGHLY recommend them! Terrific savings and good service. They also carry any extras you might want, such as extra memory sticks at a great price. Here's the link to their website: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/
