Forgive me if you just wanted posters to tell you how great your photos are, but I find them to be ordinary. While the subjects of your photographs are spectacular, the photos are not. In that your travels afford you access to such great subjects, it would seem a worthwhile investment to take a few classes or read a book or two about photo composition.

I think your photos are very nice! You've been to many interesting places and how wonderful to have a photo journal of them.

I thoroughly enjoyed your photos - in many shots I think you show a lovely sense of 'feel' for a nice shot, a sense of good composition in a natural, exciting way that gives me a feel for what you felt when you snapped the photo - you have captured some wonderful moments -
thanks for sharing -

Is this an ad?

hey woody, didn't your mother ever teach you:
If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all.

Cabo, did you read about the Hospitality Club? It is about sharing, hard as that may be to believe.

joan,

The original poster did ask for an opinion, which presumably means both positive and negative.

Joan, Click on Anaypeter. She has posted the same query more times than you have posted about Walmart and mutual funds. My mom died when I was too young for such inane advice, but she did say, 'If you run into Joan, tell her to mind her own business."

I loved your pictures! Brought back many good memories. Thanks!

anaypeter: I think your photos are wonderful! You have a very good eye & a fine sense of composition. I was looking specifically for pic of Dubrovnik....are there any there? There must be under Croatia but I did not find them.

Thanks for the pictures!

I think your photos are awesome! If Woody were a photo professor giving you a final grade for your last class before graduation maybe he/she could give constructive criticism, but geez this is a travel board! Give me a break.

placeu2 Apr 17th, 2007 09:55 AM

Yep, it is a travel board and this is the US board specifically.

The photo's are fine but this is fishing for compliments. I am not a fam of that approach.

Michael Apr 17th, 2007 10:14 AM

Most of the photos are rather pedestrian, and perhaps the photographers should keep Pascal's phrase in mind: le moi est haïssable

Michael Apr 17th, 2007 10:15 AM

I will amend my last comment: I looked only at the Austria and Europe pictures.
