It is a Victorian hotel conveniently located on a quiet street within two blocks of excellent restaurants, ashort walk to the harbor, and an easy bike ride to the beach.
It was bought by a young couple several years ago and completely renovated in semi-minimalist style (flat screen televisions, etc). It is on a steep site, so it is characterized by broad verandahs on the water side with what look to be good views. It has its own yard/garden, and I see people enjoying a glass of wine there when I walk by.
I don't know anyone who has stayed there (I live in Nantucket so don't stay in hotels myself). It looks like a very interesting place, but I would not expect glitz, and unless there have been big changes, I know there isn't any frou frou.
If you stay there, write up a report for us, if you would.

We stayed there before the new owners when it was called The Victorian and loved it. Rooms (and bathrooms) are very small, but we didn't mind. We stayed there for the location and the views! Amazing views of the harbor, sunrises, sunsets, from the upper porches.
