Do you bother responding to a post if it has more than 100 replies?
Do you bother responding to a post if it has more than 100 replies?

Let's face it, people. At that point, the discussion is over. No one's even reading your reply at that point.

Lots of loud mouths, but no one's listening...

Take the "Where are you right now?" post, for example. If you've read all of the replies on that, you're a serious loser.

I certainly don'tbother. I assume that the question has been thoroughly answered, and the extra posts are off-topic, abuse, idle chit-chat, or all 3.

Plus, even though I have a fast cable modem. those really long threads take a long time to load, so I have to be really curious to check one out.

I agree. I don't bother. Unless, of course, I've been following the thread for some time.

No. Do not even read.

Of course. Sometimes there is an interesting discussion and sometimes, although rarely, there are pretty funny responses -- like the Viking thread.

Sometimes I get bored! Feff

No, usually they've left the original question and it's just bickering at that point.

Sometimes it is bickering and sometimes it is funny and sometimes it is boring and sometimes it is interesting.Like this question.

No, I figure most replies are by the same people using different names.
|
No, I don't.

only if im really bored and want somethin fun to read. but not too much free time these days. i do like it if it some of the last replies are recent though.

If a post receives more than 25 hits it generally seems to denigrate into a a free-for-all rather than have anything to do with the original topic. I never open or read anything with more than 25 replies, since it always seems to consist of two people with multiple aliases who are bickering back and forth.
