Distance from Hyatt Embarcadero to
Fisherman's Wharf? Is it to far to walk from the Hyatt to the Wharf area? I want to go to a place called Knucles sports bar inside the Hyatt Fishermann's Wharf. Also, is Pier 39 in this same area? If we take a bus can we take it from our hotel(Hyatt Embarcadero) and how much does it cost.

Thanks
Darryl
Cleveland, MS

Yes, it is walkable - probably take 10-15 minutes. Exit the Hyatt onto the Embarcadero, turn left and follow the shoreline.

I think its closer to 20 min or half hour walk, but flat and with water views. Also, old trolly cars run along the Embarcadero up to Fishermans Wharf (which is just a few blocks from and connects to Pier 39).

The cost of any MUNI bus or underground or trolley $1.00, and you can use the transfer 2 more times within the time marked on the transfer, usually 1,5 hours, any direction. If you're over 65 or under 18 it's 35 cents. Cable car is $2 I think.

If you can it's better to walk, to see the waterfront.

The old streetcar line - the F line - which runs along the Embarcadero also runs along Market street which is very convinient if you want to go downtown and are staying in the FW area or visa versa. The cars that run along that line are from all over the world from streetcar lines that are no longer in service. It's really neat to ride on them.

Also, if you will be staying several days and will be using public transit a lot, you can buy tokens or a pass for the buses and save a little money. You should be able to buy the tokens at convinient stores and the passes are available at the visitor's center at the Powel BART/MUNI station and at the Cable Car turn around.
