My daughter is getting married at WDW November 28. We're trying to come up with something "different" instead of the usual rehearsal dinner. The entire wedding group,(guests and participants) will be about 16 people.
Anyone have suggestions for a fun place for the whole group to get together the day before the 'big day'? We're trying to find a place not inside one of the parks. We don't want people to have to spend a ticket going to one of the parks.
Thinking maybe some kind of activity (miniature golf??) along with a casual meal would be perfect.
Any suggestions??

Can't give you info on golf, but I thought of BahamaMama on I Drive that would be fun. Lots of atmosphere, fun food and music, and all kinds of tropical drinks. Be a fun evening for all.

How about a chocolate making party? http://www.farrisandfosters.com/ I have friends who did this as an office event (and I got to taste the results!) The store could suggest restaurants in the area.

What about Cafe Tu Tu Tango on I Drive for a fun, casual dinner?

..I know there is miniature golf over by "Old Town" nearby...and there are many casual restaurants around there as well...I think the golf is a pirate theme...

Cafe Tu Tu Tango is fun (and has good food). And there's a miniature golf course next door - Pirates Cove.

Great idea, dsquared! Good food, great drinks, fun atmosphere. Something always going on - tango dancers, artists painting, tarot card readers...something hopping all the time. Buy a little piece of artwork off the wall to commemorate the evening ($10 and up). Eat first and then let those who are interested join you for minature golf.

Now I do agree with the Cafe Tu Tu Tango idea, the atmosphere is fun and the food is great...lots to do in that area..

I dont think you necesarily need an activity for your rehearsal dinner. There is plenty of “pre-wedding” stuff to keep the night interesting. The bride and groom should make a little speech and thank everyone for coming and present their wedding party with gifts. The host (usually the grooms parents) make a little speech about thank you for coming.

At our rehearsal dinner we showed a video - which was a BIG hit. It was basically a montage of photos from when we were both little, up until when we met, etc. all set to music. People loved it!

I would say -- just have dinner at a fun place and enjoy the prewedding activities. We had a clambake, which was causual but delicious!

What about renting a boat and watching the MK fireworks from the water?
