Is it CRAZY to go to Orlando Easter week?
Is it going to be jam packed?
We are not staying at a Disney property or a Univesal property so will not have the luxury of fast pass.
Wanted to do Universal, Sea World, Magic Kingdom and water park.

Also, does Magic Kingdom doing any special activities on Easter Sunday?

FastPass is not limited to those staying at a WDW property. FastPass allows you to go to certain rides/attractions and pick up a ticket to re-join the line during a certain window of time.

Staying on property does get you extra hours -- either early or late hours at a different park each day.

Yes, I would say it would be crazy to do Disney and Universal Easter week.

Huge crowds and long lines.

You can buy the Universal fast pass which I highly recommend. Or if you can swing one night at a Universal Property, it really will be worth it.

The one time that I went to Disney in March, it was incredibly busy and it wasn't even Easter Week. Got to remember is that there are a lot of Spring Breaks the same week, amounting to larger than normal crowds that week. I would try avoid Disney that time of year.

I don't know what your situation is - (ie who you are going with) but we used the UnOfficial Guide to Disney when we went in the end of June (supposed to be very busy time).

The book gave us some great tips for avoiding the crowds, including getting to the park early, and a detailed map of which rides to hit first, second, when to get fastpasses, etc. We didnt get stuck in any major lines, though I must admit that we ran to SpaceMountain when the gates opened! So the plan might not be great if you have little ones with you.

We also left the park by 12-1 each day and went back to our hotel to relax, swim, etc. That way we missed the biggest crowds. We would then go back to the parks in the late afternoon/early evening for dinner or late night shows, etc. I dont know if you will have that option if you are staying very far away from the parks. Personally I would highly recommend staying at a Disney hotel, or at least a hotel nearby. Staying all day at an incredibly crowded amusement park can drive you a bit mad.

I've been for Easter week. I didn't think it was as bad as people told me it would be at Disney. Fast pass helps a lot, and you can get fast pass without staying at disney property! The only thing that happened was they ran out of fast passes at 11 am at Epcot. But we were there earlier and got our fast passes, so it didn't matter for us. We didn't stand in long lines, we had priority reservations to eat all dinners at sit-down restaurants and used fast pass.

At Universal IOA we had much longer lines at the rides as we couldn't get front of line passes. That was a bummer, but we took turns standing in line.

We also went to Sea World and did not find it that crowded either.

We are going back this yr the week before Easter.
