Disneyworld Christmas Vacation
 

Any suggestions for a legitimate time share seminar with a nice hotel stay. I am willing to listen to the 90 minute presentation - I just don't want scammed on the property.

I heard that the Marriott Vacation Club was very nice. We bought a timeshare at SummerBay after weighing the options. We go to Orlando same time every year, so it seemed like a pretty good idea for us. It's on Int'l Drive and the units are very nice.Also, it's a RCI Gold Crown. You can probably check the RCI site online and find several good gold resorts in Orlando, however XMas is terribly busy and you may not be able to get a deal, or even a room at all.

I Know this wasn't your question but the absolute best time to visit Disney World is a few days after Thanksgiving.
I have been there Many times and this is my favorite time to go.
The crowds are VERY low.. weather is great and the holiday decorations go up the day after Thanksgiving.
You seem to get the best of all worlds.

We went Christmas last year and I wouldn't do it again. Waited forever for rides. Was better with Fast Pass, but still long waits sometimes. We went to Magic Kingdom one day and after about two hours had only ridden one thing (Space Mountain), and decided to just leave and try again another day.

Went back to Magic Kingdom at night and it was just wall to wall people.

Other parks were the same, maybe just SLIGHTLY less packed than Animal Kingdom.

I have to say we paid a LOT of money for those parkhopper passes and we DID NOT get our money's worth, because the lines were so long that we actually did very little. Spent most of our time waiting.

If Christmas decorations matter to you, I would take the suggestion above about after Thanksgiving. If you really don't care about the Christmas decorations, then I think the absolute BEST time to go would be mid to late October - weather wise and crowd wise.

I'm back again to agree with the above. XMas at Disney was miserable. Long lines, crowds, pushy people. My kids begged to go back to the hotel, where they had more fun. I would never do this again, and agree that it was like wasting money- buying tickets just to stand in line for hours. BTW, we go to Disney the last wk of Oct/1st of November and it's wonderful.
