Disneys's Boardwalk Inn, anyone stayed there?

We will be staying at Disney's Boardwalk Inn next
March. Has anyone stayed here? Liked or disliked?
Any tips on the restaurants, amenities would be
appreciated. Also, is it warm enough in mid-March
to still use the waterparks? Which water park is best? Thank you.

We haven't stayed there, but we live in Orlando and go
out there every once in a while in the evening just
to walk around. It's a beautiful hotel. I don't think
you can go wrong. The only restaurant we've been in out
there is the ESPN Sports Club.....neat place, if you like
sports bars.....generous portions of food......crowded and
noisy. I think you'll enjoy staying there.

Mid-March would be too cold for us Floridians to get
in the water, but probably not for visiting northerners.

Enjoy!

We did'nt stay at the Boardwalk but enjoyed 2 great resturants. Spoodles is a good choice for dinner. They have stacks of plates on the table and serve in small portions to share....great idea !!We also enjoyed the ESPN bar and grill. We were able to watch our favorite Sonics while on vacation. The burgers were great and the service was excellent. The drinks were awesome. Have a great time

We too, are weekend visitors to the Boardwalk as we live in the area. You would not be disappointed. The area around the Boardwalk is lovely. ESPN is a fun place. Spoodles was ok, but too loud for us. The Flying Fish was a little pricey but food was wonderful. You are near the back entrance to Epcot - brief walk and you should take advantage of that fact. Get a pass so that you can come and go at will and enjoy their restaurants also. France is wonderful. You can also see all of the Epcot fireworks from the Boardwalk. All of the pools and waterparks will be heated for you. Enjoy.

I was at Disney World in Nov. with my 2 kids - 6 & 8 and they loved all 3 waterparks. Blizzard Beach is the newest one and is modeled after a ski resort. Going up the chair lift reminded us of home(Canada)- a bit breezy & cool late in the p.m. Couldn't really bring anything to keep warm since we would be getting wet on the way down! River Country has one heated pool and the other part with the slides is water from the man-made lake so it was cool. The lifeguards had toques and mittens on. They knew we were Crazy Canucks from Canada when we went in the water! The kids were having so much fun with the slides it didn't matter how cold the water was. Typhoon Lagoon was fun with the waves and don't miss the Shark Reef where you can snorkel with the sharks! Don't know about Disney Boardwalk - we stayed at All Star Music which is just down a little bit from Blizzard Beach. Everything is convenient with the Disney World buses. You'll have a great time - my friends were down last Mar. and had wonderful, warm weather. They were in the waterparks but they're from Canada as well!

Although I did not stay at the Boardwalk in, I walked on the boardwalk and stopped at many of the shops. I have been to Disney 3 times and everytime our service at the hotels was great. It is truly an experience to go to Disney and stay at its Inns or hotels. Watch the fireworks! It's really exciting. I just got back from a vacation at the Yaght Club, a neighbor of the Boardwalk Inn, near Epcot. Have fun at your trip!

We stayed at the Boardwalk villas last December. We loved the Boardwalk. Our villa was beautiful and spacious. The lobby which is shared by the Boardwalk Inn was gorgeous especially the way it was decorated for Christmas. The kids loved the pool that has a slide that looks like an old roller coaster. There is also a "quiet pool". The boardwalk itself was a lot of fun. There were lots of activities in the evening. During the day, it was very quiet. There is a bakery and small convenience store where you can buy milk, juice, soda and other items. The video arcade was a big hit with the kids but their favorite place was the babysitting facility located downstairs from the lobby. There, while my husband and I had a quiet dinner in Epcot, they played video games, computer games, colored, watched disney movies and met new friends. They had a ball. We had to drag them out of there. I hope that you will have as much fun as we did.

We stayed at the Boardwalk Inn last March and loved it! Our room, while kind of smallish, was very tastefully decorated and comfortable. The rooms at the Inn will sleep five, but the fifth person needs to be small as they will have to sleep on a short daybed (it was really too short for my twelve year old son). The lobby is beautiful; Disney's attention to detail is evident here. I loved the front porch overlooking the boardwalk. There is much to do here; there is always something going on! The area is especially great if you have teens or even pre-teens; they can come and go at will with lots of options nearby. I think you have made a great choice!
