Disneyland's Day Kennel

Hi just wondered if anyone had used Disney's Day Kennel. We have nevered kenneled our dog and were a bit nervous about leaving him all day. Also nervous about the dog flu etc.

Thank You,
Gem

Do you have any other choices?

You will have to feed him and walk him yourself, I think.

They do feed them but don't walk them. They provide a range of Purina foods or you can bring your own. They seem clean and not very crowded.

Could you leave your dog at home?

Something you might want to check with before you book, don't know how true this is, but I "heard" that Disney requires you to return every few hours to walk your dog, so if this will be an inconvenience for you...at least check it out first.

It is not a "requirement" for you to return to walk your dog. However, if you don't, they won't either. So you'd need to know how well your dog can "hold it."

Is there a friend who could stay at home with your dog, or are there any reputable dog sitters in your area? I've never kenneled my dog either - always been able to find someone to stay at my house with her. It just seems easier on the dog, but it all depends on your dog too. (Mine is a 15lb. Shih-tzu/Maltese mix and very spoiled!) I think bigger dogs might have an easier time with it.

Thank you al so much for your helpful advice! I think that we have figured it out. Atleast the part about our dog. My parents are visitng next week; so we will go a week early and they will watch our dog for the day. Then, we will return the following week to visit CA and hopefully find a freind to check on our poochie then.

We have now used the kennel several times now. The staff seems very nice and the kennels are clean. It is pretty noisy and scares our little dog.
