Disneyland Hotels
Anyone have advice on choosing between the Disneyland Hotel, Paradise Pier, or The Grand Californian as far as comfort and convenience? We're only going for 2 nights, with a 3yr old, and we know everyone is raving about the Grand Californian, but we're not sure it's worth the price.

It is great( The Grand) but reservations are hard to come by. The grand is VERY VERY expensive as well. Go to the disney web site, put your dates in and the site will let you know IF you can get a room.
Good Luck and have fun!

We stayed at the Californian with our 2 1/2 year old and our 6 month old. It was a great hotel and is at the entrance of both parks. It was extremely clean. I have not stayed at the others but it was nice to have such a close walk back to our room. Hint: Make dinner reservations at the restaurants in Downtown Disney b/c some of them had 2 hour waits at night.

Anyone stay at or heard of the Alpine Inn near the Convention Center and Disneyland. It is cheaper.

I wouldn't spend the additional $ on the Californian over the Disneyland Hotel, with kids the attraction is the park and they get much too tired to enjoy the luxuries of the hotel. It's basically just a nap and a sleep stop unless you're there for a few nights.

Alpine Inn is just a family motel with free shuttle to the park, Hiroshi. The Econo Lodge nearby is actually a little nicer, with fridge in the rooms etc.
www.econoatdisneyland.com
