I don’t know how things are handled now, but it used to be Disneyland would sometimes stop any more entrances once the park reached capacity.

That is only likely to happen during some holidays, special events or perhaps during peak summer evenings when people park hop to see the fireworks or Fantasmic. But I don't think that will affect a visit during September. They are starting to post the entertainment schedule for dates beyond Labor Day, by the way, but still don't have all of September. I would be careful with the Fridays when they have the separate Halloween Party tickets.

Thanks, that's very helpful. Sounds like we'll be fine.

one thing to consider is the weather. Sept can be one of our hottest months (Santa Ana weather conditions) and the temps should be in the high 80's or maybe low 90's.

mlgb Aug 3rd, 2018 06:37 AM

At least by September it should be a dry heat..not like now..ugh...

volcanogirl Aug 4th, 2018 01:17 AM

When I first started planning, I imagined that cooler weather would have moved in by then. I was surprised when I looked up the average temps! When does it start to get a little cooler?

mlgb Aug 13th, 2018 03:49 PM

Soon, we hope... Last week I went to Arizona to get away from the heat (really).

Fingers crossed.

We went to Disney! Very fun! We did the two day park hopper with Maxpass. Soarin was my favorite. So cool!

volcanogirl Sep 21st, 2018 08:14 AM

Also really loved Incredicoaster, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Haunted Mansion. Peter Pan was sweet and reminded me of going with my dad as a kid. Toy Story Midway Mania was a blast too!

volcanogirl Sep 21st, 2018 08:19 AM

Oh and Radiator Springs! We barely had to wait in any lines, maybe five or ten minutes, with the Maxpass. Totally worth the ten bucks. The Indigo was a great place to stay. We walked to the park from there. My Fitbit says we walked eleven miles in the parks the first day. Took the ART shuttle the next day just to give our feet a break. Thanks so much for all your help and good advice. I really appreciate it.

I love the baby polar bear butt! The weather has been MUCH better thus week, too. Did the Dole Whip and corn dog live up to advance publicity?

5alive Sep 21st, 2018 05:29 PM

Glad ;you had a great trip! And Soarin' is one of my favorites too.

volcanogirl Sep 21st, 2018 08:28 PM

Yes loved the Dole Whip! Corn dog was pretty good too. And we got the famous fried chicken at the Plaza Inn. Good thing we walked 11 miles! Tonight is the Dodgers game.

volcanogirl Sep 21st, 2018 08:48 PM

The weather has been great. Even got to wear a little jacket at night. :)

volcanogirl Sep 24th, 2018 02:27 PM

5alive, Soarin' was so cool! Very unique - we rode it twice! I couldn't believe they pumped in scents during the ride - loved that. And it really did feel like we were flying.

They had the parks decorated for Halloween - very pretty and festive.

volcanogirl Oct 21st, 2018 03:11 PM

Thanks, M, yes, I used the new one. I posted a few on the Catalina thread too.
