Disneyland and Knotts Berry farm for wimps

We are going to Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm for the first time in late September. None of us are into heart racing rides. What attractions should we head for and what strategies should be use to minimise queueing?

I can't think of a "heart racing" ride at Disneyland. Even the 3 roller coaster type rides are kind of wimpy, but pretty fun. My husband has more issues with the Teacup ride (he calls it a "barf" ride). If you're a serious wimp, just avoid any ride (and there's only a few) that have signs posted suggesting you not ride it if you're pregnant. There are fast passes available at the more popular rides, so you go to the attraction and grab a pass, then return at the time stated.

For Knotts Berry Farm, the "heart racing" rides are easy to spot. Just walk around the park and select the others; there's plenty of them.

Also, you'll be going right after kids go back to school, so if you go on a week day, both attractions will not be busy, and queueing minimal.

At Disney there are lots of rides and attractions that are not of the roller-coaster type.
Haunted House, Pirates of the Caribbean, Small World, Tikki Room, Tarzans Tree House, and lots of others. The train that runs around the perimeter of Disnsey is fun, and you get to see alot of the park.Lots and lots to see and do besides the scare-rides. Have Fun! and do go for the Fast-Pass, it is Great!

I'm right there with you, marthagrif! I think Space Mountain is still closed. Other than that, all the rides at Disneyland are pretty mellow and loads of fun. Minnie 17 has given good suggestions on my favorites.

Splash Mountain is really cool, with just one long drop at the end. Don't let it scare you, it's really fun and the rest of the ride has such great animation. Check out the new Snow White performance is you're into that kind of thing. The new Winnie the Pooh ride was also great fun!!

I'm a wimp, but I even enjoyed the Matterhorn, it's really not that bad, just goes fast with a drop at the end where you get a little wet. Try it! ***kim***

Thanks all for the information. We are going mid week so hopefully there won't be too much queueing

Late September should be a good time. It could still be very hot. I would avoid Thunder mountain railroad at Disney, it looks like it could be a simple train ride and not too high but it is very jerky, and has had some problems lately. It may still be closed, anyway.
