Disneyland
 

Just checking going to USA in Feb,and need some suggestions, to take our two children 6yrs and 9yrs.to either Disney in Orlando or Disney at Anaheim? Can not decide, and haven't booked anything else yet, so can work around it?

I think Orlando has more to offer families; better lodging selection, more variety of parks (4 Disney parks, &DisneyWorld is larger and remodeled more often; Seaworld and Universal[way better than the California Universal] are very close, 2 hours to Busch Gardens)and easier access to them, better traffic, nicer surrounding area; just my opinion, but been to both areas several times. Plus, if you want warm beaches and warm water at any time of year, southern Florida is a great option.

Liza, have they cleared up that rat infestation at Bahama Bay yet? And have they refilled the pool after it cracked from the sinkhole?

Meanwhile, what part of "no advertising" here do you not understand?

Disneyworld would easily get my vote. Love Land, but World has way way way more to do/offer.

World has way more to see and do than land - so I would do that if possible. Also - there are other parks in the area 0 Sea World etc - that may be of interest. And depending on time of year you may be able to do beach/swimming in Orlando when it's not possible near LA.

But when you consider what to spend time on do look at the height (not age) requirements for many of the rides. Your younger child will not qualify for many of the thrill rides - and the older one may not as well.

Pachet, there is far, FAR more to see and do in Disneyworld as others have said. And since we have no absolute idea as to the SIZE of your kids I'll again say that even if they aren't tall enough for some of the rides they will still find plenty of things to be amused over.

If at all possible I would also recommend you try to stay in one of the on-property hotels. Whereas you can often finder cheaper accommodations off-property, being ON the property has advantages, especially when it comes to getting back and forth between the five different parks.

Disney hotel service is generally excellent.
