Hello I am new to this and I am not sure if my last posting showed up so, I am hoping to take my 9year old daughter and my 12year old niece to disneyland dec.12-17. i am trying to go as cheaply as possible (I am back in school) we are coming from the seattle are. does anyone have any good tips for us on air or hotel?

The Best Western Courtesy Inn is a budget place within walking distance of the park. Rates should be low at that time of year.

Check basshotels.com for rates at Holiday Inns in the area. Click on the tab to check their special "Entertainment Rate". If you find a good rate available, you can buy your membership at Entertainment.com and it will be well worth it. I think you'll also get coupons for San Diego Wild Animal Park if you want to go there as well, or for Knott's Berry Farm which is very close to Disneyland.

I know there is a nice Holiday Inn within walking distance of Disneyland, I think it is on Walnut St. Candy Cane Inn is another one I've heard a lot about.

For airfare, you need to stay over a Saturday night (I think) to get a good one, so maybe staying one more night will bring down your fare.

For good airfares, don't limit your search to SEA-LAX. Alaska flies nonstops to SNA, ONT and LGB, all closer to Anaheim than LAX. The fares are changing by the minute, so get your plane tickets settled ASAP. To compare, SNA is closest but will be busy, ONT is underutilized, and LGB has no jetbridges and is wildly popular thanks to JetBlue (but it runs with excellent efficiency lately).

That Holiday Inn on Walnut is a little bit of a hike to the entrance at WallyWorld-- but they are on the Resort Shuttle line. It's not the Grand Californian, but it's fine.

Those are some good websites to check out. I'm assuming you want to stay somewhere near Disneyland?? There are TONS of hotels there to choose from.

If you stay in the Anaheim area, you will get hit with a higher tax (room tax I think) You may want to consider Orange or Garden Grove. Many hotels offer free parking, breakfast, and shuttle to Disney. Have stayed at Hawthorne Suites in Orange and Holiday Inn Express in GG and have no complaints.

United has SEA to SNA at $204 for your dates

And for cheaper eats - take the monorail over to the Disneyland Hotel and when you get off, walk straight ahead into Goofy's Kitchen - great atmosphere, less crowds and lots of selections at a reasonable price.

They are going to have a blast!

clark is right-- and I think the cheapest SEA-SNA itinerary on United is nonstop. If you can get it, grab it!!!

You might try bidding for a hotel room on Priceline, I have seen a lot of people get hotels in the Disneyland Area at great prices on Priceline. Disneyland will be great at that time - not too busy and if the weather stays like it is now you will love it. Have fun.
