Disney World Photos

I will be going to Disney World in Feb and want to get a good shot of Spaceship Earth lit up for 2000. I have a Pentax ZX50 with a 28-200 lens. Can anyone give me some great pointers? Thanks

We were just recently at Disneyworld, and the Spaceship Earth with the 2000 on it is so cool! I got a great shot of it from the ramp that leads down from the monorail. (Of course you can walk up this ramp, if you are not taking the monorail from the magic Kingdom to Epcot.) Anyway, it was a much better angle than trying to take a picture from the ground. I know-my mom took hers from the ground, and she couldn't get it all in. have a great time, and sday hi to Mickey for me!

P.S. Don't forget to see the Illuminations Parade...it is beautiful.

Michelle: We got some great pictures of Spaceship Earth from both the parking lot and inside Epcot. The best time to take pix is at dusk when the setting sun mixes with the colored lights on the sphere. Inside Epcot, I got a great shot near a big outdoor stage between Spaceship Earth and the lagoon with fountains in the foreground. Shoot about F8 to allow for depth of field. We had our best luck with Fuji Reala film. Have fun!
Hi! I don't have a hint about taking pictures of Spaceship Earth, but just wanted to tell you don't miss Tapestry of Nations Parade. We enjoyed the Millenium Celebration so much in 99 we are going back this October. Please feel free to email with any questions. I hope you have a great trip!
