Disney World Orlando fl
Where do you get the best package deal for a trip to Disney World. I plan on staying on site.
Do you think you get the best deal going thru Disney World, Hotwire, Expedia? Also, do you think you get the best deal with a package or doing hotel and flight separately? Anyone know of any good deals? Plan on going in Oct. 2014. |
Probably the best source of information about WDW package deals is Tripadvisor's Orlando forum.

AAA is always pushing these packages. Also check Southwest Airlines.

Also check dreams unlimited vacations.

Check out disboards.com. The folks on that forum can help you plan every aspect of your trip. I think you will do better booking hotel and flights separately. I don't think there are any discounts out right now for October, 2014, but they could be announced soon. If you frequent disboards.com, you will know almost immediately when the discounts are announced.
Good luck planning your trip. |
You will find the best deal for onsight hotels though disney itself. Their promotions go out about 3 months ahead of time and if you book though Disney itself and a better deal comes along they will refund you the difference on the package.

Ignore the ad above ^^^
Disney does not discount tickets other than offering specials with packages for hotel / ticket combinations. It's worth the extra $ to stay at a Disney resort and use their transportation and special perks. |
Really, the best place to book a hotel package at Walt Disney World is at Disney.com. Disney doesn't discount theme-park tickets, but hotels are discounted fairly often (I'd expect to see discounts in October except for Halloween).
Just be aware that there are some non-Disney hotels that are still within Disney World. These don't get all the same privileges as Disney hotels, so keep that mind, and the transportation is not (for me, at least) equivalent. With a Disney package, you get free airport transfers, decent transportation (to the major parks), and the opportunity for dining plans, something you can't get off-property or at non-Disney hotels. |
Check out this page:
http://www.mousesavers.com/ It's lists different discounts like AAA and military. It also shows great options for off site. The problem now with offsite, is that you don't get a magic band. Go to disboards.com and learn about the new magic band and fast past plus systems. |
And this is good for planning which park to visit on which day:
