Disney World or Disney Cruise?
 

Should we take our 7 and 10 year olds on the cruise or to the "World"? Did the Voyager last year, they loved it. THey have never been to the "World" or Universal. THey did Disney Land for a day last year.

If your kids have never been to disney World or Universal, I would definately take them there instead of the cruise. In 7 to 10 days on a disney cruise you will most likely run out of things to do. But 7 to 10 days in Orlando will suit you fine. you will get to do as much as you want without having to rush which will wear you out.

ooops. 7 to 10 yr olds. I though it said days for some reason...go to orlando first anyway. I would suggest going now or beginning mid june. July and August you will melt in the lines and the $9.00 bottled waters they solicit while you are melting in these lines become tempting

Thanks for the response. We are so undecided. Let me rephrase our options. It would be 3-5 days in Orlando followed by 4 days on the beach on the Gulf Coast. Or the 7 day cruise. I have just heard so many great things about the cruise...Thanks again for your opinions!

Have you considered their 7 day packages - 3 or 4 day cruise and 3 or 4 days at Disney World?

wow. I didn't know they had packages like that. neat. but if you have a chance to do the gulf coast..do it...I highly suggest destin, FL nice laid back town. great place to relax. and only a thirty minute drive from places to take your kids if they get restless and tired of "relaxing" :)

Several years ago we did a "Big Red Boat" cruise (this was before Disney had their own boats) that was 4 days on the boat and 3 nights at WDW. I enjoyed it very much, there were lots of activities for kids grouped by age. That boat seemed mighty small after 4 days on it, so if we do it again I think 3 days on the boat and 4 on the land would be fine. I would recommend reading the reviews of the Disney cruises on wdwig.com the unofficial WDW info site. The details there may help you more.
