Disney World Holiday Decor
 

Does anyone know when Disney World gets out its holiday decor? We're thinking of going to Epcot Nov. 18. Will things be up by then? Or do they wait until after Thanksgiving?
BTW I just heard my first Christmas song played on the radio.

I think the decorations will be up by November 18th. I'm pretty sure (not positive) that the first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom is November 10th, so everything should be in place by then. However, the Osborne Family Lights at Disney Studios doesn't start until November 28th.

With Thanksgiving on the 27th this year, it is possible that not everything will be up by the 18th, esp. at the hotels. Last year, we arrived the Friday before Thanksgiving. The Poly had minimal decorations up, as did Epcot. By the end of the weekend, the Poly was fully decorated and by Monday of Thanksgiving week, all the hotels were decorated...the gingerbread houses, etc. at the Grand Floridian and Epcot area resorts are amazing and smell so good!

At the other end...how long are the decos/Osborne lights kept up after the holidays? Thanks!

I believe the lights stay up through the last weekend after New Year's or when Ozzy utters a coherent sentence, whichever comes first.
