My daughter is planning a trip next June. She has a specific question.

What is the bus from Downtown Disney (this is ON Disney property- but NOT from a hotel that Disney owns)- what is this bus transportation like?

We are not talking about the Disney owned transportation that goes between parks everywhere.

Does anyone have experience taking this from one of the big hotels on Disney property that are not Disney owned?

Thanks for any info you have or experience within this Downtown Disney location.

Are you asking about public transportation or a hotel's own shuttle service?

We stayed at the Hilton across the street from Downtown Disney and found the shuttle completely unreliable - and rented a car the second day.

From Downtown Disney to the Disney Parks is only Disney Transportation. Your hotel might offer shuttle to Downtown, or shuttle to the Parks, but not between Disney destinations. You need to be staying at a Disney hotel to have access.

There are now Hotels not owned by Disney ON Disney property. They are Royal Plaza, Hilton in the Walt Disney World Resort, and Best Western Lake Buena Vista in the Walt Disney World Resort.

They are downtown Disney. nytraveler has the answer, I bet. She's probably correct. They call it the bus- every 1/2 hour- but I bet it is the unreliable shuttle she mentions.

Has anyone stayed at the Royal Plaza- because that one says it has the Disney bus??

What bus? I may have to call them.
