Disney World at Halloween?
 

We may book Disney World at Halloween. Has anyone been there at Halloween & would you share your opinions? My understanding is that we would have to buy an additional ticket for Magic Kingdom, OMG! Disney knows how to wring the last dime from your pocket. So that would be like $150 a person to do the Halloween party???

Are you talking about the Mickey's Not So Scary event? That's a separate ticketed event that takes place after the park officially closes (7-midnight, but they let you in earlier - you get a wristband which you need to show after the park officially closes for the day at 7). This is a good option if you have younger kids, as it is indeed Not So Scary.

You can still get in to the Magic Kingdom during the day - you don't pay extra for normal entry during the day.

And I agree with Orlando Vic that if your party includes teens or older, they may prefer Universal's event.

If you have young kids, the event would be worth it. However, I would make it your "chill out" day. Sleep in, go to the pool, go shopping or what have you. Then start getting ready in the late afternoon (make-up and such) then head on over. It's a fun, safe enviroment for the kids, but I wouldn't recommend going ALL day with them. The event itself is great. Lots of hard to catch Disney Villains around. The parade is a highpoint and can only be seen at the event. Also, there is a special fireworks show and lighting effects on alot of the park.
