My non-autistic kids don't like the post-fireworks crush of people either. Glad to hear you had a good trip. I don't think there's a resort that does as much as WDW does to accomodate peole with special needs.

Glad to hear that Disney made your experience enjoyable for everyone. Your message will be a reminder to me when we finally make it to Disney that sometimes the waits are for a good reason -- there are others who need additional assistance to enjoy the Disney experience.

Thanks for posting, Bob. One family I know has taken their autistic child to Disney twice for many of the same reasons that you mention. The staff are very accommodating and make their child feel welcomed. They also say that the second trip was even better than the first because their autistic child remembered so many of the rides and areas and could even help them "plan" what to do next, a little normality for this family.

I'm so glad you have had a wonderful experience and a great trip!! I think it is great that Disney accomodated you in the way that you needed.
