Disney vacation..HELP!

Has anyone stayed at the Ginn Resort in Orlando just outside of Disney? We are travelling with 4 children next summer who will be ages 12, 9 and 7 year old twins, all boys. What would be the best things to do and see at Disney with these guys?

I would recommend Magic Kingdom as your primary destination, MGM second, Animal Kingdom for a half day, and Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon for the other half day. They will be least interested in EPCOT. That said, I think Soaring at EPCOT is the best ride on the property, for any age. Depending on the crowds when you are there, you might cover MGM in a half day.

You should go to Epcot for a morning to ride Test Track, Soarin' and Mission Space... three of the best rides for boys at WDW (my guys are 12 and 10 and are WDW veterans). These rides have long lines and run out of fastpasses early inthe day. So go to Epcot when it opens and hit these 3 rides early and quickly.

Check out the websites mouseplanet.com and allearsnet.com. Both websites are devoted to WDW and have a lot of useful, very helpful info.

We've been several times in the last few years and have found that what works best for us - as it relates to the Magic Kingdom - is to go later in the day. If you do go in the morning, prepare to get there at the open. By the 11 the crowds built and by 1, the lines will grow very long.

If you don't go in the morning, you might plan on getting there after 6 when the crowds begin to thin. The crowds are at their peak from around 11 to 5 - plan around that peak.

Now, when it comes to the Animal Kingdom and Epcot, you want to get there early. FastPass for the best rides (as mentioned Soarin and Test Track, as well as Everest) may be done by 11. Even then, it may give you a time 6 or 7 hours later in the day. IF you can hit those parks at the open, your day will be far better.

In terms of rides, there are just a few rides the 7 year olds can't go on that the older boys can. My just turned 6 year old is tall enough at 48" for almost every ride.

In the Magic Kingdom, if you want to give them some time to run around and have fun, I might suggest you let them explore Tom Sawyer Island.

As you're not staying at a Disney resort, I suggest you become aware of what days are extra magic hours for Disney hotel guests. The respective parks WILL be the most crowded on that day. For example, the worst night to visit the Magic Kingdom is Sunday as the park is open until at least 1:00 a.m. for Disney guests.

Also, I would suggest you do a park other than the Magic Kingdom on a Saturday.
