Disney restaurants, crowds early march
 

Thanks to everyone for all the info on hotels. decided to stay at caribbean beach<BR>and got the 4 day all park pass. My friend nad i only plan to go to Magic kingdomand epcot so that should work out. I have been rading some guidebooks and I have a uqestion. they make it sound like you cant make actual<BR>reservations at rsts at disney but only get priority seating. THey also make it sound like March will be very crowded, even early march. we go march 7. THey also make it sound like hell waiting in line for disney buses.<BR>any advice? all the books say different days and times to go? does it matter? also can<BR>anyone recomend some good epcot rsts. money is no object. i was thinking of a french<BR>and the moroccan at least but we have 4 nites. thanks so much in advance

Just returned from Disney. We had priority seeting in MK and Epcot as well as at the Polynesian. We were seated as soon as we arrived. The parks were much more crowded that I had expected the week before Presidents Day.Ofcourse I had my 4 year old and 85 year old grandmother in tow which slowed us down a bit. We arrive again on the 6th, so I'm hoping that things will thin out a bit that week also! We have eaten at Marrakesh and enjoyed it very much. Some of the restaurants in Epcot are easier to get into for lunch. Also, O'hanna's in the Polynesian is one of our favorites. If you make a reservation for 6 or so and ask for a window seat, you can enjoy the fireworks in the MK with out fighting the crowd. Have a wonderful trip!

The Living Seas in Epcot is fun as you can watch the huge aquariums while you dine. Also the Flying Fish and Spoodles tapas next door on the Boardwalk are great. I didn't care for Epcot's French restaurant, but thought Morrocan was fun and different.

I second the Flying Fish on the Boardwalk. Make reservations there in advance.

We always stay at Dixie Landing tho, I believe it merged with port orleans this year. They were wonderful when my husband got sick, took him to the hospital (i had two small children) stayed with him, kept me posted. We got to talking about best times to visit and they said october is best, no crowds.

Disney is starting to crowd up again, even in the off season. Part of the problem is that most rides only have one side open, so even when it's not very crowded, getting through the lines takes a long time. Disney laid off a lot of people and cut full-time workers' weeks to 32 hours from 40 after 9/11 so they don't have the employees to open both sides, according to a friend who works there.
